The refrigerants that were used for many years (R-22, etc.) were according to government studies damaging to the Earth’s Ozone layer. So the EPA mandated a phase-out which required no new equipment using R-22 to be manufactured after January 1st 2010.

The most common replacement refrigerant is Puron (R-410a) although all new residential Heat pumps and Air Conditioners use R-410a the first one was introduced by Carrier in 1996 long before any other manufacturer.

Since 2002 Rogue Valley Heating & Air has exclusively used Carrier Puron Heat Pumps and Air Conditioners. We are the local experts on R-410a and are committed to the latest technology to provide our customers with the latest in efficiency and comfort.
